Eggbee's Dream (Cackleberries)
Published in Paperback by Cackleberry Pr (30 August, 2000)
Authors: Joh Nichols, Ken Rolston, and Darrell-Lee McKenzie
Average review score:

"EGGBEE'S DREAM" a real romp.
"Eggbee's Dream", the first book in the "Cackleberries" series is the most exciting children's book I have read in quite some time. The story takes kids on magical adventure and the illustrations make the romp complete. I give "Eggbee's dream" five out of five stars, as does every youngster I have introduced this wonderful book to.

Great story, vivid illustrations!
Eggbee's Dream is a wonderful story about the power of dreams. Supported by vivid illustrations, this book follows a young Cackleberry (aka egg) named Eggbee who, in his dreams, meets his favorite superhero and learns to overcome his fears in a tale of great adventure. From a daring rescue mission to a pot of boiling chocolate (I'm still laughing), this book has it all. In a time when great children's books are few and far between, this one caught my attention as rivetting entertainment for both kids and grownups alike!

Eggbee's Dream is Entertaining!
"The Cackleberry Adventure Series" is a delightful escape for the imagination of children and adults alike. The bright, colorful characters are curiously drawn with hidden details that strike you over and over throughout reading the books. The story and art are engaging in their simplicity and attention to detail at the same time. Enjoy as we did!"

Romeo & Juliet: The Love Story in Dance
Published in Hardcover by Universe Books (December, 1998)
Authors: Nancy Ellison, Kevin McKenzie, Amy Ephron, and William Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare
Average review score:

Wonderful!
This book is so beautiful and I am so fortunate to have found a copy of it! Ms. Ellison has captured the true feelings of Romeo and Juliet with her pictures! From the very tips of the dancers fingers to their eyelashes you truly believe that they ARE Romeo and Juliet, from their first meeting to the scene in the tomb. By the time you finish reading you are completely swept away to a world where true love is so beautiful and so inviting, you cry. Ms. Herrera and Mr. Corella are two of my favorite dancers and they fit the part perfectly! Ms. Ellison used the natural light given to illuminate the dancers and give an extra sense of feeling to the story. To everyone who buys this book take it to your heart and believe that anything is possible.

The World of Dance with Francis Mason
Fans of American Ballet Theatre will want to know about the new book ROMEO & JULIET: The Love Story in Dance. The photographer Nancy Ellison had the inspired idea of giving us in a picture book a photo narrative of the Romeo and Juliet story in Verona where it originally took place. The Romeo and Juliet are Angel Corella and Paloma Herrera who have appreared in the Macmillan Ballet about the tragic lovers. The photos are accompanied by Shakespeare's words. I never imagined it would be possible to find in Verona a balcony like Juliet's and other places that in these marvelous photographs frame the action of the tragedy. Looking at the great Staircase of Reason in Verona's public square where so much of the struggle between the Capulets and the Montagues took place, and seeing Romeo and Juliet dancing on a terrace in a real garden bring home the tragedy. For lovers of the ballet this Christmas, particularly young lovers of the ballet, there couldn't be a better book.

Bellissima!
I love this book, the whole idea of it - from the wonderful photographs to the amazing ballet dancers. I have looked at it many times and every time at a different level. First, the photos and the wonderful shots of Verona, second for the ballet dancers and then third for the writing. When books seem to be priced into the stratosphere, this little gem is a bargain and a great gift for the holidays for young and old.

Drujienna's Harp.
Published in School & Library Binding by E P Dutton (1971)
Author: Ellen Kindt. McKenzie
Average review score:

Fantastic!
The memory of this book has stayed with me since I first read it in grade school over 18 years ago. Having just located a copy I could afford in order to re-read it I can only say wow...
Drujienna's Harp is absolutely captivating. It's written in language that a young reader can understand but in a style that makes it a joy for an adult reader to revisit. It'll stay at the top of my list of books to read aloud to my children. If you can find one, get it!

Wonderful!!
A wonderful story. Very imaginative and descriptive! One of the best books I've ever read, a must-read.

Truly Original Fantasy
I first read this book in 1984 when I was 11 years old. It has stuck with me since then. I think the startling landscape that serves as a backdrop for the story is half the beauty of the story. The relationship between Tha and Eshone, is touching and haunting. Fabulous. Complicated without being cheesy - she doesn't feed you any easy answers here. A definite pre-cursor to higher fantasy like Tolkien.

Antiques on the Cheap: A Savvy Dealer's Tips: Buying, Restoring, Selling
Published in Paperback by Storey Books (September, 1998)
Authors: James W. McKenzie and Jim McKenzie
Average review score:

THIS IS THE ONE TO OWN!
THE BEST BOOK TO OWN. INEXPENSIVE AND PRACTICAL ADVISE ON HOW TO CLEAN AND REPAIR FRAMES,SILVER, BRASS (THE ONLY PLACE I'VE SEEN BRASS CLEANING THAT WORKS) TRUNKS, POTTERY, AND LAMPS. YOU DON'T NEED A WORKSHOP OR ART SUPPLIES TO USE MR. MCKENZIES' RECEIPES FOR REFURBISHMENT OR REPAIR. NO COLORED PICTURES, JUST DRAWINGS, IT'S THE TEXT THATS WORTH THE PRICE OF THE BOOK. IF YOU CAN READ, THINK, AND FOLLOW VERY SIMPLE DIRECTIONS, THEN USE THE PRETTY COFFEE TABLE BOOKS FOR INSPIRATION AND THIS BOOK FOR REALIZATION. I USE IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

Easy to do fix it up instructions, also good marketing tips.
This is the most helpful book I've read that in very succinct style tells how to buy, fix up, and possibly resell antiques and other second hand stuff. If you love "shabby chic", but can't afford the prices, this book will make it easier to achieve that look. This book is not for people who worry about getting their hands dirty.

Terrific book on how to fix antiques.
I bought an antique camel-back trunk that needed lots of restoring and didn't know how to start. My friend recommended this book, and I am so glad I bought it. Not only did it give step by step on restoring a trunk but it also had a refrence page on suppliers for trunk parts. I highly recommended this book to anyone who needs to repair trunks, lamps, pottery and frames. The furniture repair section was sort of brief; I would have like to see more on this topic.

It also conveys the peace and wonder of Reiki's healing energy. It is an excellent investment for anyone who wants to learn more about the practice of Reiki.

Excellent
A great reference for those just getting started in reiki, as well as a fine text for those needing reiki treatment. Good explanation of the intangible elements of energy work. I recommend this book to all with an inkling toward reiki!

Great BOOK - Great INTERVIEW
I find it fascinating when two people who are so different (George and Joel come from totally different backgrounds and have very different experiences), can come together and agree on a purpose and by doing so create a winning combination that is far greater than what they would have done individually. That's what this book is.

This books spells out how to take the traditional promotion and publicity methods from George's 30 year background and then meshes them perfectly together with Joel Christopher's online list building and profiting genius You will create a wealth-building GOLDMINE opportunity if you are smart enough to build your business as they recommend.

They cover the following major business areas:
1. Milking the media - turning free publicity into huge mailing lists
2. Turning Low-tech into High Traffic and High Sales - how to use postcards, teleseminars, books, etc. to explode your online profits.
3. Using Low-Cost/High-Return Advertising to Generate Thousands of Clicks - how to use advertising the right way.
4. Offline Networking - Building relationships using High-Tech High-Touch methods that makes people beg you to sell more products to them.

I interviewed George McKenzie and Joel Christopher on "The Inside Success Show" at separate times and I learned so much each time. The Internet is changing fast and George and Joel are keeping us up to speed.

Here's some other things you'll learn from the book:

** Why you need to learn how to do press releases and get free publicity
** What kind of low-tech methods can give you high traffic and HIGH SALES
** How you radio interviews to get thousands of new customers
** What are the pitfalls that you absolutely must avoid.
** How you can master the "know you, like you, trust you" success formula
** And much, much more ..

Whether you are new or old at internet marketing, I highly recommend you listen to this interview and read his book.

This is a really good book that will help you through the ins and outs of publicizing your business and yourself. From press releases, to getting yourself in the media, from creating your own talk show to establishing yourself as an expert, this is a book that will help you enhance your network. The section on how Mike Litman made his book Conversations with Millionaires #1 on Amazon.com was amazing!!! Simply amazing.
The info from David Frey on writing ads was great as well. Just a well put together book that will help you rethink how you go to market and publicize your business.

Get New Updated version instead!
This book totally saved my life. I picked it up on the way to a Christmas craft fair I was working...and during the afternoon I did a few of the exercizes along with some in Treat Your Own Back. The relief was instant. I couldn't believe it! The only thing about these books is that Robin McKenzie has updated his method and combined both books into "7-Steps to a Pain Free Life: How to Rapidly Relieve Back and Neck Pain" by Craig Kubey and Robin McKenzie. So...get the updated version instead!

No more pain!!!
After suffering about two weeks with severe disorienting neck pain a friend lent me this book and that same evening I began to experience relief and since then I have been able to ward off headaches and other neck pain just by doing the simple exercises in this book. It is time to return my friends book, so now I am buying my own copy!

Cured!!!!!!!!
I have suffered from neck pain since elementary school, cracking of joints led to pain, led to mobility problems, led to sever pain, led to extreme pain in shoulder blades, lower back etc - it has interfered with training - even led to a rib dislocation. I have done physio, chiro, for over a year at a high cost in time and money - then I found this book. It is not about strengthening but about doing stretches in the right way to increase flexibility and automatically realign yourself when you feel the need. I am now grappling and training with none of the previous pain, UFC here I come

Simple yet effective

Journey to the Well
Published in Hardcover by Urban Ministries (01 March, 2002)
Author: Vashti M. McKenzie
Average review score:

There's more than water at the Well
Journey to the Well takes an otherwise short scripture and explores the role of Jesus in the lives of everyday women. McKenzie delves into our lives and roles as women and shows how we can experience a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her style of writing is engaging and inviting and kept me savoring with anticipation of each new chapter. A must read for all women, especially those needing affirmation of the importance of their relationship with the Most High.

A Must Read for ALL Women
Bishop McKenzie reveals to her audience exactly why she is the first female Bishop in the AME church, this book is dynamic! Through using relevant metaphors of everyday life Bishop McKenzie retells the Samaritain woman's encounter with Jesus at the well. The activites that are included with each chapter help promote spiritual growth and understanding. This is a journey truly worth taking!

Enlightening
I was familiar with the story of the woman who met Jesus at the well in Samaria, but had no idea how relevant her life and transformation was to mine. Bishop McKenzie may be addressing women, but I found the well lessons pertinent to both genders. For those who seek a "authentic life" or search for a "kairos" or "teachable moment", this is the book for you. If you think you're ready to give up your "learned ignorance" or "learned helplessness", this is the book for you. Thank you Bishop McKenzie for your insightfulness.

The Fight in the Fields: Cesar Chavez and the Farmworkers Movement
Published in Hardcover by Harcourt (May, 1997)
Authors: Susan Ferriss, Ricardo Sandoval, Diana Hembree, Michele McKenzie, and Gary Soto
Average review score:

HUELGA! Gracias Cesar.
Fight in the Fields - without a doubt, a story worthy of a thousand books. This book is simply a comprehensive history of the UFW. The struggle and the suffering must never be forgotten and continue today. A fantastic account of a imensely important movement.

AN ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY BOOK
Okay, I'm biased. I'm the author of a mystery novel in current release that features a Latino private investigator as the protagonist, and I've been teaching in a rural California high school with a student population over 98% Hispanic for over twenty years. This biography, loaded with photographs and facts, is perfect for today. It clearly proves what an exceptional man Cesar Chavez was and what exceptional accomplishments that man achieved. If you have any interest in the real America, you have to read this book.

Excellent history
This very personal history of the Cesar Chavez and the UFW is a comprehensive account of the farmworkers movement and the difficulties encountered in their fight for justice and fair treatment. Very well written and illustrated.
